Bio
Lind Hollingsworth is a painter who works in mixed media. She currently creates “relief paintings”. Using paper, mat board and spackling she builds a scene in relief to which she adds paint, maps, photo transfers and found objects. She captures the character of the southeast through focusing on the juxtaposition of the fortitude of nature and human consumption. She works to convey the essence of a place through depicting man-made structures, flora and fauna, and memories that inhabit it.
Lind currently teaches classes in painting and drawing at the Studio School in Savannah. She also works as an adjunct instructor at Columbia College, teaching Art Appreciation and Art History at Hunter AAF and Fort Stewart. She founded the The Art School in Savannah where she taught art classes to age 6 through adult from 2000 – 2007. She has also taught public school art and worked as an architectural interior designer.
